Yo-Yo chinese Schoolhouse

幼幼中文學校

Here at Yo-Yo Chinese Schoolhouse, we provide incomparable care for children in a customary environment that nurtures their physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development and growth. Our goal is to help children become naturally bilingual by learning Chinese in concurrent with English while introducing them to the many different aspects of Chinese culture in order to expose them to the greater world around them. We believe in providing an anti-bias environment for children and adults. An anti-bias attitude that values and celebrates diversity among different genders, races, lifestyles, physical abilities, religions and cultures. Our program provides age appropriate activities for the social, emotional, physical and intellectual development of your children.

About The Owner

Rose Hsu opened Yo-Yo Family Bilingual Childcare in 2008 when she decided to extend and pursue her passion in early childhood education. She has been a regular school teacher for many years here in the U.S. and in her home country, Taiwan, where she received her BA degree in education. She is a licensed teacher and who taught at Bellevue College Parent Education Co-op Preschool for four years and Harmony Early Childhood Education Center for two years. She is also continually volunteering at Tzu-Chi Academy since 1997. Not only does she have extensive experience with teaching, she also has comprehensive knowledge being a program supervisor, responsible for the development of curriculums and teacher training.

Rose has always had a passion for teaching — beginning as a Chinese musical orchestra director when she was still in university. She later found her passion in teaching younger children, falling in love with their enthusiasm, youthful energy, the way they look at the world with such curiosity, and their everyday expressions and actions.
